Hey, have you heard the one about the Indiana Supreme Court?

Probably not, because it isn't a joke. By a 3-2 ruling, they have said that a private citizen has no legal right to resist an unlawful entry of their home by a police officer.

Yep, let's just toss all that dirty old common law that's been around since the Magna Carta out the window. Maybe throw that messy old Constitution thing out, too. Tidy up the place a bit.

Keep it up, statist bastards. You'll never know that you've pushed too far until it's too late.

Via Say Uncle, there's a good writeup with less spittle at The Volokh Conspiracy.

My Dad didn't get to make this trip

By the time this was going on, he was too unsure of his health to do it, despite all my urgings and explanations.

If you know a WWII veteran, encourage them to make this trip if they have a chance.

And I'll be waiting for November, 2011.

It's only political

If they aren't in control.

Keep the debt limit where it is. Prune back the government--hard. Nothing off the table.

Made of WIN

Chinese (well, Americanized Chinese) and guns. I'm going to have to travel a bit to beat this shopping center.

Let 'em

It seems that liberals in southern Arizona want to have their own state.

Given that Pima County is close to half of the Arizona border with Mexico, I say let them have it. The new Baja Arizona can deal with the illegal alien problem their way, and the good folks in Arizona can deal with it in theirs. We'll see who is more successful.

As much as it pains me to do it

I have to agree with the Big O on the whole "killing Osama" thing:

"And I think that anyone who would question that the perpetrator of mass murder on American soil didn't deserve what he got needs to have their head examined."

The UN, Noam Chomsky and the rest of the Useful Idoiots need to go sit in the corner and gaze into their navels quietly. As in STFU.

Firing squads, anyone?

The Obama administration has launched a quiet campaign over the past two months to seize from local officials a key drug used in lethal injections -- part of a spreading investigation that has contributed to a de facto death penalty freeze in several states.

There were warning months ago that when the Big O's grip on Congress slipped, he would simply pursue his agenda by other means. Seems that the warnings were correct.
