As in the novel, apparently we can simply wish new things into existence--such as people's willingness to buy and drive tiny cars and electric vehicles, the ability to extract more BTUs from a gallon of gas than it contains and the ability to bend large businesses to your will.

Oh yeah..I forgot about those "bailouts" (nudge, nudge; wink, wink) of Chrysler and GM. Never mind that last point.
