In which the folks who always know better ruin the washing machine--and your clothes.

And yes, I have one of the stinky, moldy front loaders. While it does clean as well as the last top loader we owned, and while it does use less water, it take 3 times the time to do a load. What used to take a morning now takes all day. And it saves no hot water, because we usually wash everything in cold anyway.

But that's Washington for you--improving your life whether you ask for it or not.
