I'm still shaking my head over yesterday's visit to one of the local gun stores. I don't go to often these days; a kid in college sort of puts a dent in the available money supply for such things.
However, I need to pick up some more specialized self defense ammo (Federal Hydrashoks are my preference), so off I went yesterday at lunch. No problem, I've dealt with these folks before. I can be in and out before I do anything stupid, like buy a gun to go with the ammo.
However, while I was there, I succumbed to the temptation to check out a Stag Arms M4gery that was on the rack. While I was looking at that, the FNG (Friendly New Guy) behind the counter wanted to check out the Bushmaster beside it. So he took it down and swept me and everyone else in the store with it. With his finger on the trigger. At least the moron didn't pull the damn thing.
No, I didn't say anything--it was one of those "He was rendered speechless" sort of moments. I should have. Instead, I was just happy to hand them back the Stag and get the heck out of there. Not too sure how long it's going to be before I go back.
