Um...not seeing anything new here

I have just wasted a large part of my lunch reading the Republican's "Pledge To America", and I'm sorry, but it looks like more of the same BS that we've been getting from them from years. "Smaller Government! Blah, blah, blah. Lower Taxes! Blah, blah, blah. Strong National Defense! Blah, blah. blah."

Not one single government program that they plan on killing. Not a single tax they plan on repealing. Nothing but the same old platitudes from the same old bunch of FAILworthies.

Guys, this isn't hard. Heck, let me help you out by giving you a starting point: Department of Education.

Don't like that one? How about enacting the Fair Tax (or a truly flat tax). You couldn't outright abolish the IRS, but you could damn sure cut it down to size.

Heck, repeal the 1968 Gun Control Act and the 1934 National Firearms Act, and you could pry the "F" right out of BATFE and honor the Constitution all at the same time. Plus I could buy a gun at the hardware store again.

Or start that new convenience store I've thought about named "Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Now serving Chips and Gas."

I agree with you. There was some decent stuff in there, but most of it was blaming someone else and a lot of wishy-washy mumbo-jumbo with an awful lot of wiggle room for more of the same.

The established politicians just don't get it. I guess we'' have to throw 'em all out!
