Catch a clue, CongressCritters

(Via SurvivalBlog)

"...fearful for their safety..."? Good! It's about damn time!

Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress.

Yeah, I bet it's really horrible when the unwashed masses voters corner you and let you have a piece of their collective mind. I bet it really sucks getting your nose rubbed in that puddle of piddle you've created. I bet it doesn't suck half so much as losing your job is going to.

The Critters say that the heat is on because they're "dealing with some of the most important public policy issues in a generation.” I don't think so. I think it's because people believe that the Critters are going screwing up the entire country, perhaps for multiple generations.

Here's Clue #1--People get upset when someone wants to "reform" things they think need no reformation.

Some of our elected betters have just decided that they can stick their fingers in their ears, sing at the top of their voices and we'll all shut up and go away.

“I had felt they would be pointless,” Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.) told POLITICO, referring to his recent decision to temporarily suspend the events in his Long Island district. “There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation.”

Here's Clue #2--Not happening. We aren't going home and we're through being quiet. You're a "Representative" who has decided that rather than "represent", you'd rather substitute your judgment for ours.

Can you say "FAIL"?

Here's Clue #3--You come up for reelection real soon now. You might want to start packing now while the competition for boxes isn't so stiff.

Of course, if you'd rather not be thrown bodily out of office, you do have an alternative--start listening to us rather than San Fran Nan & Co. She might be able to make your life miserable, but we can--and will--make you unemployed.
