A Washington state biosurveillance firm raised the first warning about a possible outbreak of swine flu in Mexico more than two weeks before the World Health Organization offered its initial alert about a public health emergency of international concern.
So we could have had a 2 week jump on a response to this epidemic if government bureaucrats had listened to the people at Veratect, a for-profit company that says it "...provides the earliest detection of emerging threats to human, animal and plant life while empowering corporations, government organizations, NGOs and global citizens with trusted, timely and actionable information."?
So do you have to wonder why I don't support government healthcare?
