You have to wonder, when a company like General Motors is only worth $7 billion--1/9th as much as MacDonalds. Sure, GM has more than its share of problems right now, but come on....
One thing for sure--I'm glad my limited financial resources are mostly in things other than stocks. When a manufacturing company with plants, equipment, inventory and tens of thousands of employees is worth less that a chain of burger joints, I think it says something bad about the "wisdom of the markets".
