One way to skin a cat
There are a lot of ways to clean a rifle. Courtesy of ODCMP, SSG William T. Pace of the US Army's Maksmanship Unit gives us his method. I've used a similar method before and it does work just fine.
Since I changed to Eezox as my primary cleaner/lube, I've developed a different method that seems to work quite well. I am going to investigate his greater use of the brush to see if it might help get me off the cleaning bench faster. I figure that if they don't worry about using a brush in a match barrel that much, I ought to be just fine in my standard barrels.

Sorry about the lack of posts
I've been busy and I still don't feel 100%. Couple that with a general crappy attitude, and you get no bloggage.

Memorial Day Greetings
On this Memorial Day, I'd like to send my greetings and my gratitude to all our military veterans and those actively serving our country. Thank you.
When theory meets practice
I got this from the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action:
State Representative Michael DeBose (D-12) of Cleveland (OH)was an opponent of Right-to-Carry, having voted against the measure twice. All that changed on the night of May 1, when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was wielding a gun. On that night, Rep. DeBose’s sense of security in his neighborhood changed, as did his view on lawful citizens being able to defend themselves. Isn't it amazing how when theory meets practice, practice usually wins? But isn't it even more amazing just what it takes for some people to learn this lesson?
I'm glad that Rep. DeBose is OK, and I'm happy he's had his moment of epiphany, however frightening and dangerous it was. He's now going to be one of our bestest buddies and a great resource to talk to those who believe as he once did.
Oh, and Rep. DeBose, anytime you get down here to God's country, let me know and I'll take you to the range. Ammo for the excursion is on me.
