RFID tags are bandied about as a technological cure-all for identity theft, speeding checkout at the grocery store, providing loss-proof identification and finally answering that pesky question, "Who shot JFK?" (OK, I made up the JFK part.)

Wired has this article on just how easy it is to hack RFID.
It seems to me that all we'll be doing is making identity theft easier and less dangerous.
