A lot to go over

and precious little time to blog.

First, a Wired magazine article on Thomas Gold. Thomas Gold is a world-class contrarian who believes that we are floating on an ocean of oil. Interesting reading when regular gas is $1.90/gallon.

Here's one, brought to my attention on a Usenet newsgroup. It would seem that the Governator of California wants to help the state to the jury awards of plaintiffs. I'm all in favor of some tort reform in this country, but methinks that the steroids went to his brain.

And my favorite from the past few days. The Brits still know how to take it to the enemy. Hoo-rah! (This story via Jerry Pournelle.)
